Spring Rise - Flowers For Mothersday #221
You can't see it but a house sits up top of this hill and behind me is a lake. A lot of the houses have back gates that lead out onto a path but the path has very high grades to it making some areas very hard to walk up/down. With that being said I have bike riders that fly by me while walking and I think to my self "how the heck did they ride up hill on a bike when it takes a lot for people to walk up it!".
The walking/hiking paths will keep you in very good shape if you do it every other day or at least 3 times a week. The paths go on forever but for the bike riders in some parts they have lanes just for the bikes up and down the river and lake so you see a lot of active people around doing what they love to do! For me I just hike around looking for cool things to take shots at like finding treasure almost. Now I'm off to climb this hill have a great day everyone!
With this photo I just wanted to punch up the color in the flowers up front but didn't want to change the color for the trees and sky so I used the Select Tool and section off the lower area and used the Hue-Saturation Tool.

Thank you @mnallica They just came out with a new upgrade to gimp and it really is more powerful. I'm having to re learn how to use the tools because some of the new tools do a much better job then the old ones.
