Lake Day - Dawn To The Light #235
Now it's time to use some contrast, shadows, light adjustments, saturation, Hue- saturation to name a few. This photo has a range of light and dark areas so simply using a contrast tool wouldn't work in the way we want so we have to use the curve tool as it's more powerful but much harder to use then the level tool however the level tool didn't bring me the results I was looking for so I used the level tool and clicked on curve tool to start from the settings and changes I had in the level tools. This isn't 100% what I was trying to do, this only means that I need to learn how to do it better and the research for this task is in action. Nevertheless this was a good learning experience and I did learn something today from working on this photo art.
You can see how blown out the sky is, I wanted to try and do a few things to fix this so I grabbed my Clone tool and started working, It was a lot of work but it added details in that wasn't in the photo before. I would normally use a heal tool but I wanted to see how effective the clone tool was. I adjusted some settings for opacity and marked out areas I wanted to clone over but keep it different from the the cloned area it self.
I removed some object that I didn't like such as a metal pole and a drain pipe. I could go about this in a few ways but today I'm using the clone tool and it's hard to see that the pole and drain pipe was here.

Really great job again...after seeing the original one and editing one I again understand you are a guru of gimp. Meanwhile telling the things about gimp which you know is really good behavior and thank you for your informative sharing and have a nice weekend my friend...
Thank you @mnallica, I hope it helps others. Getting the colors right is the real challenge!
