Found Inspirations - Storm For Spring #232
When it rains it pours like a wild fire it changes wind to find it's path of least resistance. Suddenly the sky darkens and the light changes colors shifting from one end of the spectrum to the other. As the stormy clouds roll in the sun gets pushed down to sunset as it's fighting every inch to stay about. The pouring rain trying to put out the sun as if it was a fire but to no avail does it succeed. Still the dancing rain reflecting from sky to sun gives a beautifully display of silence until the thunder claps after the lightening strikes with authority! If it's going to storm may it be a storm of beauty.
I used Hue - Chroma a new tool in Gimp 2.10, It's easy to over do it and I hope I didn't this time. I'm trying to keep as much details as I can with good colors however this is a darker storm style photo so I'm limited on what I can do.
This changed from what it looked like in the editor so I'm going to use some saturation. I did a lot of work using contrast and other tools to try and get the pink and blue to stand out more while still keeping with the background stormy weather so I tried to make it look more wet with color tones. I must find a way to do this because this took a lot of time.
As you can see it really does make a difference and this Clone Tool will be used more often! I had to go back and re do some parts as you need to find spots that are more natural so it's trail and error but this looks good.
I found a new way of getting rid of that ugly hue around the edges, I'm using the Clone Tool and picking out areas that would match the edge of the tree line. I also used it to darken the rest of the trees in the distance, I found my self using it to repair bad areas and places I wanted more clarity on like the flowers from the bushes and trees, Also i used this to darken areas using it at 20% to 60% in some of the left hand bushes.
