Found Inspirations - House On The Lake #216

in #photography8 years ago

Everyone loves lakes or at least I never heard of anyone saying "i hate lakes". Living on the lake is a life changing experience because after all making good memories is the point of life. Some of the houses on top of the hills have very steep paths a few you have to cross over a stream or two. You can see spring is here with the flowers and awesome colors all around you. I dip my toes in the water and it's still a little cold but maybe that's because its hotter outside then in the water. I remember when I tried to jump over a stream and my foot feel in haha nothing like walking with the swish water sound in your shoes! That was still a good memory I would do that again any day!

I'm at it again, creating art from the photos I took. I made the sky very busy with a lot going on as the landscape also has a lot going on so I was trying to balance it out but looking back I think I'll try a not so busy sky. I adjusted some color, saturation, contrast. I spent a lot of time clearing away broken pixels and discoloration. using the heal tool help out a lot to fix some really bad sections that happen when testing out.

I didn't want to use the Hue - Saturation tool over the full photo because it would take away some of the blues I needed for the flowers below. So I had to use the Free Select Tool so cut out the sections I wanted to change.

Again using the Hue-Saturation tool make sure you double check your work with the zoom tool because it can cause artifacts in the photo. Later we will use the gaussian Blur at 1 or 2 setting

Lets grab the hue-saturation and make some changes to that blue tint on the tree tops!

I added a black background to help me see light colors better while working out the blue tint from the top of the trees.

This was only a few things I did to create this photo.

Joining shadowbot was the best thing I have done on Steemit. It helped me build up my account, get noticed, get upvotes while I post my original works all for free! Think of it as one big pool working together with the power of a whale!

The way you edited the photo is somewhat perfect. You emphasized more the beauty of the place.

Thank you @cassyjanine I had fun taking the photo and working on it!

My friend you have just created a wonderful landscape...everything is clean and clear...And everything has their original color tones...clouds are wonderful...you didn't edit you created a picture again...I think you are a guru of gimp....

Thank you @mnallica I'm still learning and I have so much more to learn. At some point I will be adding in trees, light post, benches, houses and other things however that is much much harder to do!

Hello Jon (may I call you so?), I stumbled upon your blog since you too seem to share a passion for lake photography 😀

I was surprised to find that you don't just share your photos (they are amazing), but also showing us how you compose and edit them.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. I'm eager to learn more as I follow your blog for future updates! Keep up the great work!

Hey thank you @lakesnmountains I have so much fun learning and doing this that I wanted to share this with others so that they can create positive moments in life, you never know it could be that one small push in the right direction that changes a life for the better. I know that's a lot to say about art but isn't that why we are so passionate about art to Begin with? Should I be so lucky to live on the live front I will have a live 4k cam watching the sun rise and set while I go around taking photos and learning more about how to change it with my style of the photo!

Thank you for taking the time to respond! No matter where your path will lead you, I'm following you already... on Steemit, at least 🙂
