Introducing a Theoretical Currency System as a Solution to Complex Behavior
Observing the thinking processes (and actions) of a dog we can imagine a game in which some higher power (a player) takes on the avatar of a dog in order to engage in the experience of being a dog in the “real world”.
Dogs do strange things from a human perspective. Why doesn't the player move beyond the dog's perspective and begin to act more like a human?
In this thought experiment we can add in the possibility of a points system for the player. For whatever reason, in the player's realm that exists beyond the dog/avatar/real life perspective there might be a use for these points-so the points would be dear to the player.
If the points had a certain value the prospect of gaining them would cause the player to act within the boundaries of a dog's nature.
Beyond this game, in real life, we might understand the motivations and actions of a dog by the introduction of these “points” as a type of currency the dog receives.
That is to say, unexplainable actions, in comparison with human motivations, could be quantifiable by the introduction of a theoretical currency system.
For this theory to prove valuable we would need an objective standard or basis for money that holds its value for long periods.
