Tagalog to English - Day 4

in #philippines7 years ago

Inspired by someone in another post that is teaching the Persian language, @ghasemkiani, I thought I'd share some words in Tagalog (Ta-ga-lug) which is the main language of the Philippines.

I do not speak Tagalog, but I do have a list of many words that I will share with you. I will share 4 words per day until my list is complete.

To aid you in learning, you can HEAR the Filipino Abakada (Alphabet) at this site: https://www.tagaloglang.com/abakada-tagalog-alphabet/.

Unlike in English, there is only one way to pronounce each letter so it should not be too hard to figure it out.

bibig - mouth
ngipin - teeth
dila - tongue
kamay - hand

Also in Turkish, "dil" means tongue.
