The idea of fame is a virus that has spread to the youth. Only with this virus, they actually want it.

Fame is nothing more than social influence, and social influence can help a lot of people. The idea of this makes it seem like such a positive thing for society. As humans we will take responsibility for our actions and support those who will help further this agenda right?

WRONG!

Humans, especially in my home culture of America, seem to put stupid people in the spotlight. But why is this? Why are we as humans attracted to stupidity? Is it because we find it entertaining? I would believe that except people dont correlate certain artist that I am talking about with anything but cool and honorable mentions. Not all of society is brainwashed by this, but most of them are. Music that supports people being uneducated. Vine stars that are cancer to your mind but we laugh at for entertainment. Will someone please explain to me how the "cash me ousside" girl now has a million dollar record deal... A FUTURE HANDED TO HER for what? Being disrespectful to her mother on live TV..... but why do we attract to this as humans? I understand the record label and their actions on giving her a record deal. They saw money because the youth decided to put her in the spotlight.....but why did this phenomenon happen? Surely we should be honoring teachers... or scientist... even doctors.......some of the more intelligent and beneficial members of society...but instead the youth is attracted to stupid.

Stupid is smart.

Some artists play the stupid game. They create publicity stunts for attention. Some create bad music just because they know they will be talked about over it. This gives them the future. It is interesting how Lil pump has made it into every middle school of American with his hit song Gucci Gang..... I found some of his lines quite genius for example the line
"My bitch love do cocaine."
If this is not art I dont know what is. hahah He is just a smart business man.. That is what this comes down to. He knows our society loves this sort of cancer so he wittingly creates this style of music to sell out to society. And the public eats this stuff up.. its an amazing phenomenon.

So why?

My theory is that it comes down to rebellious society being the idol. We as America were founded on a rebellion. We are naturally this way. This rebellion has become ridiculous in the sense that you can easily see it as the youth grows. Lets take a high school for example. Who were the most popular kids generally in your high school? I can you in mine it was certainly not the smartest nerdiest kids. It was the mindless jocks and preps. Not to stereotype anybody. This is not always the case based upon these types of people. We also had very intelligent athletes, but it was riddled in with a whole lot of idolized people for the skills their bodies had brought them rather than the minds being developed. These rebellious kids were the ones who ruled the school. They got the women and they had the popularity . It doesnt attribute to their successes entirely throughout life but it can be compared to the fame game of today. So why do they make stupid people famous? This is a good question. One I dont think I can full answer because I do not understand. What are your thoughts on the subject?
