After 20 years the Van's Warped Tour that we all know and love is coming to an end next year.

After many years of getting thrown around in mosh pits and almost dying of dehydration because I had no money, I am definitely sad to see the Warped Tour leave us. I feel like this is a good opportunity for me to share my experiences performing at the warped tour as well as how my band ended up playing it 2 years. The Journey To The Stage.

I played in a few bands that have tried to climb their way to the stage of the summer warped tour. They would hold these competitions with the company Ernie Ball. They would essentially have you share their page and people would vote on the bands.... Supposedly the top 4 bands would get to play. In my first band , we ended up in second place yet we still werent chose. They chose people WAY down the list.

The second band I joined was already running with speed. They were playing in front of hundreds of people week to week and doing some nice numbers online. We entered into the "battle of the bands" That Ernie ball had, thinking nothing of it. Each member shared it a couple of times and we all forgot about it.

A few weeks later we were out to lunch and our guitarist gets a phone call from a 1-800 number..... Thinking it was a scam he came very close to not answering, but he decided to answer...........It was a rep from the Warped tour. They wanted us to play!!! It was extremely random and we hadnt done much support for the tour.... so they seemed to maybe have a favoritism to our style of music maybe? or maybe they liked the numbers we had? I am not sure... We applied the next year and didnt get chosen.

2 years after our first Warped tour we applied again and we actually won again hahah. Which is insane because we didnt really participate in the voting and we had gotten lazy when it came to releasing new content, so we basically used the same content to apply haha.

The warped tour was just a fun experience all together. And I wish I was still in a band so that I could play the very last warped tour this summer. SHOUT OUT TO WARPED TOUR FOR MAKING MY CHILDHOOD AND ADULTHOOD AWESOME!
