Filming on a set
Yesterday I had the pleasure of co directing and producing a music video with a heavily drama driven plot.
Working along side the director and set designer of the widely popular band Polyphia.
The quality of production was greater than what I am normally used to
If you follow me then you know that I mostly shoot documentary films. So this was quite the experience. The difference is extensive. I shoot on the streets or on an interview set that's quickly put together.. but for this we had the budget to build full on sets, have a crew of 5 and a special effects makeup artists.
As you can see in the photo above, the room we were using wasn't a room. It was actually a built set.

After post production and once the video is released, I will post it up here. The last scene of video gave me fucking chills. We worked over 5 separate sets in the course of about 3 days. The performances of the actors and the crew working seamlessly created a really good outcome. Can't wait to show you all. If you want more updates follow me @johnroomusic
