A good post, my friend, and yes, I remember that article. As for the critique of steemit, I know that's common to outsiders. I recently tried on-boarding a writer friend and he had many of the same criticisms and more. He left severing all ties with steemit and allowed me to cash out his account which I thankfully did.

Steem has been depressed as have most cryptocurrencies and a lot of people are powering down and not posting. On a positive note, last time I checked SBD = $108 USD. Who knows, maybe if it keeps gaining in value people may start voting, posting and commenting again. I do every day - often twice a day - but I seem to be in the minority. Oh and btw, I hate that cynical self-serving 'keep on steeming' BS too, but I ignore it because every day I'm doing the stuff - not musing about it.
