About These Poems
Is a love letter
Left
Out in the rain:
Pick it up
And it dissolves
To snowflakes
But bend down close
And read it
And the peacock ink
Looks Spenserian,
Blurred
With tear circles
And if
You wait
Long enough
Clouds will appear
And blue bays
And Sun
Days later
You may return
And if the wind
Hasn’t made it
A gull,
You’ll find it
Brittle as birch bark
And sepia tinged,
Aged
And now part
Of your memories…

All of your poems that I have read on here resonate with me and change my mood and cause me to reflect. Have you read any of William Gibson's short stories? I think you would enjoy them. My favourite is, "Fragments of a Hologram Rose." Reading this poem reminded me of that story. Mindful Steeming :)
Thank you, Katy. What you're describing is the effect I hope to achieve with readers. I'm so glad my poems resonate with you. As for William Gibson, I'm unfamiliar with his writing but I will definitely check it out and get back to you
I read it and saw why you saw similarities - we're each other's fragments - shreds of the hologram. Very insightful, Katy
This reply brought tears to my eyes. That is beautiful :) Thank you. I'm happy that you read the story, too. Gibson's stories read like poetry. "The Matrix" is based on a story he wrote, Neuromancer, I'm pretty sure....
Wow!! That is a great poem!!
thanks, @twofingersshort
