[Electroneum] Talking Heads: How is ETN different?
This is a two-part videos series, Talking Heads with Electroneum CEO Richard Ells. Mr Ells sat down with Graham Jarvis to discuss Electroneum, blockchain and the future of cryptocurrency. In the first part he outlines the concept behind the mobile miner and what impact this could have. In the second part they discuss the difference in Electroneum's strategy and what the team hopes to achieve.
Godspeed Mr. Ells!
Now please get the ETN wallets up and running for macs and iOS so that I can make use of your vision properly. You've only been around a few months. I can be patient. Thank you for the paper wallets; thats where I am stashing my ETN. Now if my.electroneum.com would be willing to open my paper wallet, that would be better.
I believe in your product. Your vision. I like privacy coins. I'll remain patient. Because I know if I give up on ETN now, I will mega regret it later.
I didn't realise that the iOS and OSX wallets weren't operational (I'm one of them weird PC users!), have you tried using the electroneum binary and command-line wallet? https://github.com/electroneum/electroneum/releases
When the blockchain first went live, I used a paper wallet to store my newly mined coins in, then did a sweep of it into the command-line wallet, and that's where they've stayed. I can't remember off the top of my head how to go about doing all that, but I'll dig through my bookmarks and hopefully I was smart enough to have stored the instructions somewhere.
The cli wallet? Yep! It was a novel way for me to manage crypto. I was liking it at first until I learned that I would have to download the entire damn blockchain. I was suffering from fresh PTSD over mein kempf mit Verge! I spent weeks trying to download Verge's blockchain but my new mac laptop just wasn't having it. So I missed out on a $100,000 Verge gain overnight the day McAfee shilled it on twitter.
Silly me, I just remembered I actually have parallels on this thing. Its a platform for macs that lets one use windows.
OMG.
That would have solved a number of my crypto problems.
Right. Well. Which ETN wallet would you recommend for windows? The main one?
Oh damn, that is heart-breaking! I tried keeping the blockchain in sync on my laptop for the first month or so, started to forget and now it takes roughly a day each time. Need to get those old funds moved...
If you can't use the command-line wallet, I'd recommend trying either one of these:
