The Sexual Intelligence of Me
After my #introduceyourself post I decided to burden myself with the task of writing something that would blow me off my own feet (then sickness crept in, 2 weeks I had bad fever). Since, I took enough time to make it vivid through my last post that I'm not a self acclaimed writer and that I'm using this medium to build my writing skills and show off some of my genius (Some folks may find this rather too rude of me. You're welcome, its not like I care. But thanks anyways.)
So, after several weeks of "trying" to figure out something intelligent, I decided to write on "SEX".
PS: Whatever I write here is strictly my opinion coupled with research facts, you have the liberty to do whatever you like with it.
PS: Don't take life too serious, people make a living out of jokes. At least in my country
Growing up I was thought to see sex as a sacred order and that has shaped my view of the act till this moment, this idea has shaped my relationship with the opposite sex.
SHOUT OUT TO MY MUM FOR DRY CLEANING MY BRAIN -- some people call it brain washing.
While putting this post together I decided to do some research online, trust me the outcome wasn't that impressive - from Australia to Asia I realized that thousands of cultures and traditions that oppose my opinion of treating sex as a discreet act or ritual.
Sexual Definition of Subject Matter
Many consider sex to be intercourse involving only penetration, but that is intelligently only one aspect of the sexual rite. Sexual involvements range from thoughts to words to Kissing to different degrees of touching and then to penetration. Unknown to many, sexual activities lead to 4 sequential feelings or reaction in the human body: name -excitement, plateau, orgasm and resolution (do yourself the honor of visiting google.com for yourself).
A 2003 study published by the "Journal of Sex research" found out that Men think about sex only in an average of 19 times in a horny day, against the general believe that Men think about sex every 24 hours of the 7 days of the week "what a scandal".
The 21st century presents Sexual rite to be a way by which individuals (number and gender being a variable and not constant) get to indulge in one another or get intimate with one another, based on the fact that they fine another physically attractive or better still tolerate-able.
Sex is a commodity every young adult is expected to posses actively in my society. As a matter of fact it is easily and cheaply found. Sex is one of the few things that are almost readily available almost freely anywhere in the world, it is one of the cheapest connection individuals share this days after facebook and whatsapp, except there is a reigning tradition that forbids or prohibits people of opposite sex being together either in public or private places alone, trust me such laws are rare - even if they exist the horngry ones would find a way of evading them.
Statistics proves that 8 out of every 10 people between the age of 16 and 21 are already sexually active. Source: Personal Statistics
The Human Body and Its Response to Sex
Most people have sex, enjoy it, and usually love to go through the rite over again either with same partner or some new partner, but they never ask themselves why they always want to go back to it (Not just as regards addiction, but normal urge to have sex). : I call this the rite of Bondage
I started seeking enlightenment on the subject after one of my friends tried talking me into having sex. He mentioned the release of one Dopamin to be good for the human body.
Dopamin: this could lead to my answer after all.
Research proves that during sexual activities apart from sweat and saliva, a couple of chemicals which are rather called hormones are also released in the body, which are responsible for the feelings experienced. These hormones include Dopamin, Oxytocin and Adrenaline all of which you can google by yourself. From what I read on the internet, I realized that apart from through sexual activities, everyone of these chemicals can be stimulated into release in the body through other activities and the body would still get that feeling of awesomeness.
I am not a doctor and I wouldn't try to sound professional in a field in which I don't know jack. But, from my research and little experience I have been able to gather that Orgasm (which is the climax of sex) is the only sexual experience that does not have an alternative. Basically, there 4 stages of sexual experience the body can attain, namely excitement, plateau, orgasm and resolution.
Phase 1: Excitement
General characteristics of the excitement phase, which can last from a few minutes to several hours, include the following:
Muscle tension increases.Heart ratequickens and breathing is accelerated.Skinmay become flushed (blotches of redness appear on the chest and back).Nipples become hardened or erect.Bloodflow to the genitals increases, resulting in swelling of the woman's clitoris and labia minora (inner lips), and erection of the man'spenis.Vaginal lubrication begins. The woman'sbreastsbecome fuller and the vaginal walls begin to swell. The man's testicles swell, his scrotum tightens, and he begins secreting a lubricating liquid.
Phase 2: Plateau
General characteristics of the plateau phase, which extends to the brink of orgasm, include the following:
The changes begun in phase 1 are intensified.Thevaginacontinues to swell from increasedbloodflow, and the vaginal walls turn a dark purple. The woman's clitoris becomes highly sensitive (may even be painful to touch) and retracts under the clitoral hood to avoid direct stimulation from thepenis. The man's testicles are withdrawn up into the scrotum.Breathing, heart rate, andblood pressurecontinue to increase.Muscle spasmsmay begin in the feet, face, and hands.Muscle tension increases.
Phase 3: Orgasm
The orgasm is the climax of the sexual response cycle. It is the shortest of the phases and generally lasts only a few seconds. General characteristics of this phase include the following:
Involuntary musclecontractionsbegin.Blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing are at their highest rates, with a rapid intake of oxygen.Muscles in the feet spasm. There is a sudden, forceful release of sexual tension. In women, the muscles of thevaginacontract. The uterus also undergoes rhythmic contractions. In men, rhythmic contractions of the muscles at the base of the penis result in the ejaculation of semen.Arash, or "sexflush" may appear over the entire body.
Phase 4: Resolution
During resolution, the body slowly returns to its normal level of functioning, and swelled and erect body parts return to their previous size and color. This phase is marked by a general sense of well-being, enhanced intimacy and, often, fatigue. Some women are capable of a rapid return to the orgasm phase with further sexual stimulation and may experience multiple orgasms. Men need recovery time after orgasm, called a refractory period, during which they cannot reach orgasm again. The duration of the refractory period varies among men and usually lengthens with advancing age.

I'm sorry you would have to save me the stress of explaining all those terms since google.com could do a better job. So, of all the 4 Orgasm which eventually leads to resolution is the only one that cannot be experienced outside actual sexual practices.
My Point Exactly
Not everyone get to hit Orgasm every time they get involved in sexual activities (especially in Women). Meaning that young people can actually indulge in other non-abusive physical activities to excite their bodies and hormones outside sex.
The Sexual Fame
My indulgence in other habits makes me question the reason for the fame of drugs and sex in the 21st century.
Drugs: of which is not my concern in this post
Century: of centuries before the 21st I can't say much
But, of the 21st century I have experienced a few advancements and I can boldly infer that the rate of growth of sexual awareness and involvement between the year 2001 and 2010 was massive, while that of 2010 and 2017 has been greatly alarming. Writing this article, I tried to put my genius to work but boy! it was really tough. But luck smiled on me, I was able to gather some facts to be the reason why sex has become an epidermis that illuminates the fog of the night in the 21st century.
First and most influential of this reasons or factors is the "Hip Culture". Improvements in technology has made the world into one small village, thereby leading to cultural integration (that is different cultures try to find a common ground upon which they can all operate without having clashes) which led to factorization of cultural values and eventually the birth of a new culture that has no tangible values. This new culture without values is the hip culture.
The hip culture permits almost anything, it believes every tom, dick and harry has a right to do whatever they choose to believe is right, no matter how dumb the matter could be, the hip culture gives the right t0 individuals to be the god and law of their own selves, this culture chooses to ignore any stupidity or dumbness once it is tagged "creative" or "unique". Bearing in mind that this hip culture is the official culture of the media; both social and entertainment which are both borne by our fast growing technology, thereby leading to the fast growth of the culture which does not regard sex or sexuality to be anything special except when it is being interrogated.
The hip culture through social and entertainment media through movies, games, internet, music and others have reduced sex from a sacred rite to something that could be consumed anyhow like candy. I was going to write about 5 different reasons why sex is famous in this century, but while writing about the hip culture is the most powerful and presently the most successful agent of sexual awareness. Being a self acclaimed genius, I have learned not to be sentimental in my judgements, therefore I would write a little about the archaic traditions of the older centuries that also caused sexual obduracy (ignore the grammar). I'm tired of typing, so I'd just give you names and you'd go google them up for better understanding... Below is the list
- Rite of passage - Africa
- Shuto kanamara matsuri - Japan
- Love parade - Germany
- Febris - Ancient Rome
- Bacchanalia - Rome
- Festival of Drunkenness - Egypt
and so many more, reading all these articles made me realize that people of my kind have always been a very minute portion down human history. The sexual rite has been abused even before the word abuse was invented. Reading all sort of traditional sexual practices from every continent on the internet, I would say I give up on this topic. Perhaps, humans have always been sexual slaves.
