This photo was taken some time ago in Hong Kong but was reminded of it last Saturday.

Le Café de Joël Robuchon

My (step)son-in-law works in Hong Kong and commutes on a daily basis between Shenzhen and Hong Kong. On Saturday he sent me a message that he bought a baguette for me in Hong Kong and that he will bring it to me in exchange for a good cup of coffee on Saturday afternoon.

When he arrived, he handed me the bread in a bag labelled "Joël Robuchon". I instantly recognised the colours of that bag as that of the above photo.

He took customers out to lunch on Friday afternoon to this three Michelin-starred restaurant and enjoyed the baguette so much that he decided to buy me one too.

How thoughtful.
