Mangart: the Truth / die Wahrheit

In my post yesterday about the bad weather at Mangart I did not tell the full truth, when I said that I could hardly see anything because of the dense fog..

In meinem gestrigen Beitrag über das schlechte Wetter am Mangart habe ich nicht die volle Wahrheit erzählt, als ich meinte, dass ich wegen dem dichten Nebel gar nichts von der Landschaft gesehen habe.

I have to admit that when I descended from the mountain at one point, really only on one place, I suddenly had a nearly clear view down. The fog cleared for a few minutes and I could see the road on the Mangart Saddle and the path to the Mangart mountain, which goes right from my parking spot to the right.

Ich muss zugeben, dass ich beim Abstieg vom Berg an einer Stelle, an wirklich einer einzigen Stelle plötzlich fast freie Sicht nach unten hatte. Der Nebel lichtete sich für ein paar Minuten und gab die Straße am Mangart Sattel sowie den Weg zum Berg frei, welcher von meinem Parkplatz aus nach rechts zum Berg führt.

As I said, after a few minutes, the fog was back and as dense as on the right side of the photo below. The via ferrata led me directly down in this direction.

Wie gesagt, nach ein paar Minuten war der Nebel wieder da und so dicht wie rechts auf dem Foto unten. Genau in diese Richtung führte mich der Klettersteig hinunter.

The road makes a loop at the Mangart Saddle and is run as a one-way over the saddle. There are parking spaces next to the road along this loop.
I had free parking choice, because as you can see, my car was the only vehicle on this road that day and I was the only person on this mountain.

Die Straße macht am Mangart Sattel eine Schleife und wird als Einbahn über den Sattel geführt. Entlang dieser Schleife bestehen Parkmöglichkeiten neben der Straße.
Ich hatte freie Parkplatzwahl, denn mein Auto war an diesem Tag das einzige Fahrzeug auf dieser Straße und ich der einzige Mensch auf diesem Berg.

I thought, I have had to show these photos too, since they are really the only ones, where you can see a bit of the landscape.
I have a few more photos, which I have made on the peak, but most look like I was photographing through an icy window, but I will try to get the best out of them with Photoshop 😉

Shooting through an Icy window effect could be very cool I am sure you can do some magic with them

I meant it different - the photos don't look like photographing through ice flowers or ice crystals on the window, but through a semi-transparent glass - they don't look good, more kind of dirty.

Yes, I should have thought of that, because my viewfinder was icy too, but I just didn't think.
And some photos have come out nice enough to post them some time :)
