The competition between Steem, Gab, Minds, Real Video, Bitchute, USA Life, and other blockchain networks, has been pushing them to be better to some extent, at least, and that is very good.

Money

I've made more money on Steem, so far, in 2017, than I've made anywhere else online. People can send you money on Gab and on Minds, but it has been easier to upvote on Steem. I'd encourage Steem to allow for Gab subscriptions and the ability to send money like people do on Minds. I would like to combine all three ideas into one:

1. Make money via Steem Upvotes
2. Make money via Minds Peer to Peer Donations
3. Make Money via Gab style Subscriptions

Social Networking Speed

Gab is more like Twitter, Minds is more like Facebook, Bitchute is more like YouTube, and they let people comment without waiting 20 seconds like people have to do on Steem. I prefer not waiting. Like you say in your article, Task Master, that style gets people hooked and everything. I prefer Steem for the money, generally, but prefer Gab because I can comment, share, and everything, faster.

Quality versus Quantity

I would rather encourage people to have fun here, on Steem, like they have been on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and that is how they grew. Now, quality things may grow, yeah, and may make a lot more money, and that is good. Some things that may be considered as quality enough may also make a lot of money as well. What is art to me may be garbage to you. Beauty and quality is in the eye of the beholder and is subjective. We can encourage social networks to do the best to give the people what they want. If Steem refuses to, then maybe Gab will, or maybe others will. We the people have to demand what we want in social networks. The networks should compete to give us what we want, maybe, if they want us. That is healthy competition which promotes growth, progress, etc. I'm Oatmeal.
