Anak burung pelatuk saya temukan di halaman rumah saya, burung ini jatuh disaat belajar terbang.
Anak burung pelatuk ini susah di temukan karena burung ini pecinta batang pohon kayu, dan senjata burung ini sangat tajam tiap hari mematuk tanah dan batang pohon kayu, kadang-kadang dalam sehari hampir 10 kali batang kayu di patuk, dan burung ini tempat tidurnya dalam batang pohon kayu mati, dan dalam batang kelapa yang mati.
Saya suka pemelihara burung ini, karena burung ini cantik bangat dan langka ditemukan.
