Week 10👉Nurturing Children's Creativity
Today, I witnessed something truly remarkable – the boundless creativity of my younger brother, Alfian. As I've mentioned before, Alfian, along with my other brother Haziq, embodies the diverse spectrum of childhood personalities and interests.
At four years old, Haziq remains reserved and shy. His timid nature often keeps him on the sidelines during playtime, perhaps due to his tender age and the influence of his peers. Unlike Alfian, Haziq's play is confined to the toys provided by our father, limiting his freedom to explore and create.

Conversely, Alfian, at six years old and already attending school, exudes a vibrant energy and an insatiable curiosity. His adventurous spirit leads him to interact with older children, igniting his imagination and fueling his creativity. Alfian's playful nature knows no bounds – if a toy isn't readily available, he simply creates his own.
Yesterday, I had the privilege of observing Alfian as he embarked on a DIY adventure, crafting a magnificent toy from ordinary materials. With nothing more than PVC pipes, rubber bands, discarded bottles, and glue, Alfian transformed these humble items into a masterpiece. Armed with only a knife and saw, Alfian's ingenuity knew no bounds.
However, as I watched him maneuver the sharp tools, a wave of concern washed over me. Alfian's safety was paramount, prompting me to replace the sharp implements with blunter alternatives. It was a small gesture, but one that ensured Alfian could continue his creative endeavors without unnecessary risk.
Alfian's ability to turn everyday objects into sources of joy and amusement is a testament to the limitless potential of childhood imagination. His uninhibited creativity serves as a reminder that, with the right support and encouragement, every child can explore the depths of their imagination and innovation.
In conclusion, today's experience reaffirmed my belief in the importance of nurturing children's creativity. Whether through providing safe environments for exploration, celebrating their achievements, or simply encouraging their playfulness, we play a vital role in unlocking the creative potential within each child.
