Joecow Toy Photographer
I’d like to introduce you to my character Lenny Raptor. He his an extreme biker and I have created a great series of photos based on him. Lenny is one of many characters that I have created personas around. That what I like to do. I like to create stories around my Toy Photography.
Now that you have briefly met Lenny I want to introduce myself. I am new to steemit as of today! My name is Joseph Cowlishaw and I am a toy photographer.
I have always enjoyed photography and I have always liked cleverly designed toys. Lego is my main muse. I love to tell stories with Lego and develop characters in my Toy Photography hobby. I have been building a following on instagram (20k+), and google+ (40k), but I feel that these social media platforms are constantly sucking and consuming my work and time with not much reward except for the occasional limited interaction from folks that happen upon my hobby. I like to make people laugh and smile because I think the world needs much more of it.
So if you get a chuckle out of my posts please take a moment to comment and to upvote it. I like the idea of being paid for producing my content even though I will continue to do it for free because I love it.
My brother @talkingtree introduced me to steemit and I’m glad he did. He is a professional landscape photographer.
I reside in southern Utah with my wife and our five kiddos. I am glad that I can play with Lego again and I enjoy spending time with my kiddos building and hiking with Lego. My boys have even taken up toy photography and it makes me happy. I feel it is a perfect creative outlet that has a surprising amount of good humored and good natured folks residing in it.
I never really was interested in learning all the nitty gritty details of photography until I found my passion of photographing toys. Now I feel that every time I take a picture I learn something new and I am enjoying every minute of it.
So enjoy as I post more shots of Lenny and other fun characters.
I love photography but photographing toys is what has caught an extra attention of mine. Toys won't pay or appreciate you but you do it to put a smile of the face of others. That's amazing, your kids are even doing it as well, that's super-amazing. Much love to your family, I wanna watch you excel in here.
Thank you! Toys don’t pay or appreciate but they also don’t complain and they are excellent subjects (as long as it’s not too windy). I have found that folks like to buy prints though - so in a way they do pay; at least for themselves!😂👍
that 's a funny and original idea! keep it up !
Thank you Loonyfool! I’ve been at it for a good two years now and have developed quite the portfolio.😎👍
