Art of cooking, finding new tastes a lot more fun @bucipuci at least you have someone in the home who assists. Last time baking happened in this house, most probably twenty odd years ago.
Almost every Czech family bakes a cake or tea at least once a week ;-)
Funny that some people can cook very well - but not bake and vice versa. I used to bake a lot - and now, I never do it. but also, I am not eating sugar much and baking usually has lots of that...

Never had a sweet tooth, savoury, salty or spicy perhaps that is partially the reason why baking never interested me. My sister on the other hand whips up a storm when it comes to anything sweet.
Thanks for fun topic, it did bring a smile to my face as to how much I have never enjoyed baking.
A cake as a defensive tool? Sounds fun... Except that it might be considered as wasting food 😂
Personally I never baked something before, can't really imagine what will happen if I try to, lol. Probably misusing salt as sugar...

I agree, in our household nobody loves baking. When we want a cake we buy and secure some jobs. ;)
Shop is close at hand, definitely easier to buy a cake today @ikarus56

I am dangerous in the kitchen Lady Joan. Once baked fat cakes and considered donating them to the strikers as ammo to stone cars hahahaha.
Very nice @joanstewart!!! I'm the same. I can cook. Baking other than bread and cookies forget it. The last time I tried a pound cake it was more like a 2 pound cake it was dense.
What a lovely little story @joanstewart! Reminded me if the first cake I baked, it was as hard as a rock!
