I remember those monkeys well from when I stayed in Durban a few years ago. They really are every where. One still got into our kitchen and stole a loaf of bread. It was quite funny watching him take two slices out and put it together as if he was making a sandwich.

When the troops go through you have to watch them they do take to the easy life of stealing quite quickly @jusipassetti I still love watching them.

Eek! I would be screaming for sure!

Chase them out with a couple of hand clapping and they run off @fitinfun the males, especially loners you need to be a bit more wary of.

Great post Joan! Thank you. Nice to see fellow South Africans here. @ouma-izi is my Aunt 😀

Great to meet you @bernardtjames I have visited both yourself and Aunt and dropped an invitation to join the South African gang on Discord, meet and chat with locals at #teamsouthafrica

Those monkeys in Japan are very clever too @leftyronbo wonder who lost their phone.....

It's amazing to think you would see monkeys in the suburbs! These both have such lovely coats and I feel like I would want to pet them - not wise, I'm sure!

I'm coming to you from @kryptonia with the same user name.

We have a place called CROW where hurt monkeys are taken, volunteers work there and help hand raise babies @fitinfun always an option to be hands on!

I find it amazing that you take all these photographs yourself, @joanstewart. And I enjoy this kind of post with the short bit of text between photos that capture my attention. I actually digest the nuggets of information with which you supply us.

Thank you.

Really an area you must bring the family down to visit @reonlouw you will see the hidden nuggets all around you, in real life!

They do behave like people, love, fight and play @jacobzeema

I used to live in Cape Town, and we had baboons... those things would come through our neighborhood and go through our trash. They were quite the pests :-)

Baboons I am very wary of @kimmiecfields Cape Point and places where people visit they can be a problem with stealing and attacking.

So cute. I hear they are little scoundrels, but they look so adorable!

We live in their surroundings @houseofcouchie

true that. We have a family of 3 wild bobcats, that we live in their surroundings. They think my cat is lunch though...so i often am out there yelling at them to go away. it is kind of scary...
