Happy Friday, Love Friday, my beautiful friends. I would love to share some Love out there today by sharing my best COCONUT experience and giving CHEERS to everyone with my COCONUT LOVE which i though it would be a great entry for #LoveFriday created by the lovely @liliana.duarte.

I have always dreamed of having my own coconut trees and my own mango trees and now I'm living the dream since I have always loved the coconut trees and I feel so blessed to be able to have my own and right now for the first time we are enjoying them.

I have had and tasted a lot of coconuts while traveling and living in El Salvador for 2+ years. I have tasted the yellow coconuts and the green coconuts and I always liked the green ones better since I believe are way sweeter than the yellow coconuts. I find the yellow coconuts a bit salty.

The best place to grow the coconuts is close to the coast, near the ocean and on the beach since the coconuts need the salt from the ocean breeze and that is where you find the hottest environment. The roots spread out faster and easier on the sand than the ground and they can reach the water from underneath.

We have tasted many, many coconuts from the beach, from our backyard and from all over and most of them were very sweet and really good and some not so much.
But when we have tried our green coconuts, it was just so sweet and so tasty like nothing before. Even @joordanzzz who had many coconuts and drank them because they are amazingly good for our overall health, but never really cared for the taste so much, until yesterday when he tried one of our green coconuts. He couldn't believe how delicious, how tasty and how sweet this coconut was.
Now @joordanzzz loves our green coconuts.

The funny thing is and the weird thing is that this tree we transplanted from our beach, so it's one of the oldest trees we have in our backyard along with few others. This green tree is the smallest, the skinniest coconut tree we have and to tell you the truth, we were going to take it out and replace it with a new tree, since we thought it will never give us coconuts and if it does, it will be just a few and probably not so good.

So here is a great example of the famous saying
"DON'T JUDGE BOOK BY IT'S COVER.
We are so glad we decided to wait and take care of this tree and see what happens because this coconut tree even though it is so skinny, it just keeps on giving so many coconuts. I don't even know how it can hold all of this weight and how it can produce all this sweet water inside the coconuts.

And what makes it even better is that it is a short tree, (for now) and we can just grab the coconuts so easy, instead of having to climb the ladder to get the coconuts.

We have two other trees giving us coconuts and they are both yellow coconut trees and they were always the biggest and so beautiful and we transplanted them also from our beach property.
One started to give us coconuts last year and the other two which are amazingly beautiful and so thick and healthy looking, are just starting to give us the coconuts.

Now we just have to wait and see how these beautiful coconut trees will turn out since they are not having many coconuts on it yet, but slowly they will start giving more and more.

I know I have been sharing a lot about coconuts, but we feel so amazed and so blessed by this little, lovely coconut tree and just wanted to share the love out there and wish you Lovely Friday.
CHEERS!
Love @joalvarez

Oh, wow!! I could feel your joy about those coconuts. You made me want to try those for sure!!

We grow the green coconuts on the homestead. They are really sweet and delicious. They are definitely better-picked right off your own trees!

What this dwarf coconut tree producing this plenty coconut ,wow that is great.

Around Nigeria coconut trees take up to three years before they can produce .

Love coconut too, will you share some with me ?

Have a stress free weekend .

Thank you @egbujorvictor.
I believe it takes three-five years for the tree to produce the coconuts, but ours took a beating from the transplant since we had them pretty big (2 maybe 3 years) in our beach lot, but then we transplanted them in a totally different, cooler conditions with hard dirt, so they took some years to get adjusted to the new growing conditions.
I would love to share some with you, friend.
Have a great weekend and thank you for your lovely visit.
