At last, my account got accepted after one week of repeated tries with my friend @reko, a long agonising wait for us. When I finished these watercolour orders my luck finally showed up. This is the result of my latest animal commission.

(And of course - critique is welcome! :)
And process:
Steps before the photos:
1. Sketch to outline - from photo + figure out what the background shall look like
2. Mask the stuff you don´t want to ruin
3. Paint the background wet-in-wet.
4. Unmask where the dog will be painted - put on masking fluid for the lightest parts
5. Paint the fur wet-in-wet. First with Ivory black - then let it dry - second with Neutral Tint.
6. Remove the masking fluid (I learned for an other time I put on to much in some areas - easier to scrape the whiskers)
7. Paint details - mostly with Neutral tint
8. Remove the masking tape and make the last details - Voila!
They are both awesome, I love the expression on the dogs face. Nicely done.

Dog is great, I dont know if you ever tried masking fluid for parts that you want to stay white?
