Purse.io - Shop & Earn Bitcoin

Since I started investing in bitcoin and its altcoin brethren, I have also been searching for real-life applications for these currencies and been looking for blockchain companies with usable products.

My favorite product, so far, comes from the creators of BAT Token (Basic Attention Token). They have a browser that is both fast and secure and automatically blocks ads and trackers. The browser is Brave, and I may write my impressions of it, at a later time.

Current is another great app. It connects to most of your favorite streaming applications, such as Youtube and Spotify.

But this is about purse.io

Purse connects to Amazon, and it has three basic features. All of them evolve around using Bitcoin as payment. You can shop the amazon products you want at a discount, you can set up your own shop and have people buy directly from you, and, the most compelling feature, you can buy products, on behalf of other people, and they pay you back in Bitcoin!

This is a great way to use Amazon giftcards. Exchange them to buy products that other people need, and get paid in BTC. You can of course use a credit card as well, and basically double-dip. My Amazon account is connected to my AMEX, and I get points every time I shop, so for me getting points and getting paid in BTC, is a great way to maximize returns. It can be argued that buying on credit is never a good idea, and I would only do it, if I could pay my balance at the end of the month.

Anyway. When you log in, you see a big long list of users that have listed products that they would like to buy, the country they are located in, and the price they are willing to pay.

The price is marked up, so you have incentive to buy the product. From above picture, you see the user needing a product(s) worth of $105.95, you will get 0.08 BTC at a rate of $13164.21 BTC. Quite a premium on top of where BTC is currently trading.

When you select the product, you will get 60 minutes to complete the purchase. You will be taken to the product page in Amazon, where you simply buy it, and chose the address of the customer to send it to. All of it is done anonymously, so the only information you get, is the area that the packet will be sent.
Once completed, you copy the order confirmation number and other details and send it to the customer in Purse's interface, and you are done.

The customer will be charged the BTC listed and the money is put in escrow. Once the customer have received the product from Amazon, the funds will be released to your account.

Purse doesnt charge any fees.
Hopefully they will introduce other currencies in the future, so you can accept different crypto currencies.
