Whip tail Lizard or Gecko in Curacao

I came across this fellow while I was shopping in Curaçao. At first I thought it was a gecko until I tried to Google a picture. It looks similar to the geckos that run free and clear in Aruba, but it may also be a whiptail lizard. I really don’t know what it is.
