T-shirt Art -Custom Paint Job

I decided to paint on my t-shirt rather than on a canvas.

I used acrylic paint and textile medium so that the paint would be flexible.

I purchased my t-shirt for $1.00 at a dollar tree store. Since I have been sick and shut in my house, I have been utilizing my artistic skills with things that I already own. If I were fully recovered, I would be engaged in my classes at the senior center.

I decided to sketch the picture that I wanted on the T-shirt this time so that I would have more control over the design. When I painted on my sweatshirt, I was painting freehand and I realized very quickly that I am not that good yet. 😊

I started off by sketching with a pencil which was a little difficult to do on fabric.

Then I used a small paintbrush to outline the areas that needed to be painted. It was not very difficult at all compared to painting freehand on the sweatshirt.

I really like the way that the design came out, so I am going to use the same process when I paint on my other sweatshirt.

The only thing that I have to decide now is what design I plan to paint.
