New Earrings from a Failed Drink Cover

I decided to make a pair of earrings using the beads from the eel skin drink cover. I was not satisfied with that drink cover because it was too thin. I did like the beads that I used.

I tried to use the whole ensemble in the beginning but all of the beads together were too heavy for my pierced ears. I disassembled the set and just used the African print beads along with the leather cord.

I had to add a crimp bead at the top so that the leather cord could be contained without an added knot.

Voila! A nice pair of earrings that I can wear with a black or white outfit. I am still stuck in the house, so I guess I’ll be using up a lot of my craft supplies while I heal.
