How Ragnarok M taught me the real meaning of Law of Supply and Demand!

Ever since I was still on my elementary days, I've already heard and learned about this Law of Supply and Demand thing, the theory that explains the interaction between the supply of a resource and the demand for that resource. Or simply: low supply & high demand yields almost always an increase price value of that supply.

Anyway, I understand fully the concept of that theory but never in my 25 years of existence (Yep! I'm not that old! XD) would I really learn and experience it first-hand. To top it all off, I experienced it inside a video game. Lol

So yesterday, after grinding for days for Zenies (the currency inside the game) and finally accumulating enough zenies to buy decent equipments, I've finally decided to buy a very rare equipment called Orlean's Gloves.

As you can see on the market above it's a somewhat expensive item. Since I'm poor I've decided to buy the lowest price which was only around 3.5 Million Zenies. Lol

What caught me by surprise though is that it enters into a snapping period. Looking closely you'll see that there are only 3 available Orlean's Glove valued at 3.5 million zenies for the whole server with at least 13 buyers competing for it (will become around 45 buyers close to the end of the snapping period).

And so for hours I went back and forth to the market exchange to try to snap that equipment (I'm a high wizard and that item gives M.Attk +60 and M.Attk +10% which is pretty much I really need XD) only to fail for over 6 hours.

Eventually, I finally succeeded in getting one:
