Homemade Traditional Gnocchi ! Yummy 😋
Today with my auntie we prepared some homemade gnocchi.
We have our recipe from our italian roots passed from generation to generation.
I was pleased to do it with her and I can assure you .. they are yummy !
Compare to industrial ones, homemade gnocchi are soft and fondant. Taste like real gnocchi too lol
I took pictures to show the process.
You basically make a dough out of steamed baked potato, eggs, flour and salt.
Then you cut in pieces and roll it with a fork.
Ready to cook :)
It's funny to eat this traditional italian dish right in the secluded New Caledonia island but my auntie never forgot her roots.

I don't think I've ever tried it, but i have always wanted to it looks delicious!! How is New Caledonia going? I'd love to visit that place it's def on the bucket list
I had 3 plates with blue cheese sauce and bolognaise sauce haha ! I'm going to roll until I can reach the bed for a nap :D !
New caledonia is doing very well ! I have 10 days left before Sydney and then Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Thailand :)

Make sure you book a return flight ticket as once you are in NC, it is really expensive to leave the country lol !
