THE HEART THAT REMAINS UNCHANGED...

Sometimes a wildfire skips over an area leaving it untouched.
The smoke and heat can be felt and the light can be seen but nothing is set ablaze.
The unburned area is the heart of the person who does not receive the full mercy of the Lord.
He may become filled with the smoke of material opulence
and experience the heat of adoration and distinction.
He may even see the light of liberation.
But his heart remains unchanged.
The burning desire of devotion to the Lord does not take place.
