The BIGGEST Pumkinseed I ever Caught
I made a few custom handtied jigs for a customer and had one left so I fished with it and hooked. I've been fishing for 25 plus years and this is the biggest specimen I ever landed. Even got some footage for the non believers lol
I wear a 9.5 in mens shoes. He was a Hog!
This was caught in Pompano Beach, Florida in a Private Lake.

Went home to measure him and look how thick he was.
Down here in Florida we call these "ShellCrackers". And that black and white thing is the jig I was fishing with.
Measured 11 1/2 inches
nice! We mostly only get blue gills here in NH. I haven't done much fishing as all the lakes are about 2 feet to low right now. This drought is killing our fishing fun!
the fish should still bite, less area to hide
I caught a couple of those spawning here in AZ that topped the 1 foot mark. We called in to see if they were state record material... sadly they weren't. :(
