Gordang, Traditional Musical Instruments From North Sumatra Indonesia

Gordang is one of the traditional musical instruments originating from the Province of North Sumatra Indonesia. This musical instrument is a rhythmic drum beat. Gordang has been part of the Batak community since its forefathers.

Gordang musical instrument is made of wood that is coated with cow leather or buffalo skin. Usually this bronze consists of 6 (six) to 9 (nine) drum that has been prepared. Gordang musical instrument is commonly used to accompany gondang diupacara music and events that are traditional.

The size of each drum that is arranged in Gordrang is not the same. These drums are sorted from small to large to the right. It is intended to provide the right rhythm when played.
