When shirts are a "pressing" need

in #photography8 years ago (edited)

We are in the midst of one of our busiest times of the year. We have consistent long distance runs and mud runs to print apparel for. Orders consist of a minimum of 1,000 shirts, ranging from 1 color print to 6 color prints (front and back). It is time consuming and can cause aches and pains in the joints from pressing, but I wouldn't want to do anything else.

While our machines were heating up, I decided to take a shot of one of our silk screens that we are using for the particular order that we are doing. It took some finesse not to get ink all over myself and my camera, but it was well worth it.

This is a shot of an air bubble that formed after multiple presses on t-shirts. Air bubbles in the plastisol ink don't happen often and it looked pretty neat, so I wanted to share this rare occurrence with you guys.
