TV show love never dies
I was riding my bike yesterday around a State funded park known as Medard Park when I came across a tree that had been carved with two peoples names. Here is the tree:
The inscription reads:
Jim + Pam
I don't know if the people that carved this tree are actually named Jim and Pam or if they are big fans of the television show, "The Office". On the show, Jim was a paper salesman that was in love with the receptionist, named Pam. In the beginning of the series, Pam was engaged to a warehouse worker named Roy, but Jim and Pam's friendship grew quickly as the first two seasons progressed. Jim ended up telling Pam that he was in love with her, to which she said she loved him too, but she was going to marry Roy anyway. Pam later called off the wedding and by the end of Season 3, they were dating. The two ended up getting married, had two kids and lived and ended the series still in love.
If it is not a reference to the television show, I still hope this "Jim + Pam" and their love endures forever. What a beautiful symbol of their love that they can go and look at from time-to-time. Except for the whole butchering a tree thing. But I digress...
I love the office. That show was so funny because it was so true. I worked in a cubicle for 9 years. I die laughing every time I watch the office.
Oh I loved watching The Office. In fact I was doing a re run of it last week.
