Tampa to Cozumel
Me and some friends were celebrating a friend's 30th birthday recently by taking a cruise from Tampa, FL to Cozumel, Mexico. It was a 5 day/4 night cruise, where most of the time was spent at sea with one day in Cozumel. Here are some of the pictures from the trip.
(Tequila distillery that had by far the best tequila i've ever tasted)
(Dessert the first night at sea)
What was also cool was the souvenirs I brought back.
If you ever get a chance to go to Cozumel, make sure you eat the local cuisine and hit up the small shops. The food is amazing and the locals are quite friendly and have awesome crafts to purchase.
Happy Steeming!
Nice photos! I visited Cozumel last week :) but only for a day-trip, I live in Playa del Carmen (the closest town to Cozumel on the Mexican mainland). It was awesome though, did you visit Punta Sur? The beaches there are so beautiful!
@phortun Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to go outside of puerta maya. But it was still beautiful. I'm actually going on another cruise this year that also has a stop in Cozumel, so i'll suggest to the others that we check out Punta Sur! Thanks for the tip!
Yeah, you should definitely check that place out :) It is an eco beach park, there is a fee (a few bucks) but it really is worth it. Here is a few shots from there:
You can observe crocodiles from the wooden tower :) I think I will write a post about my trip to Cozumel too, it is an amazing little island :)
Straight up jealous. My wife and I went to Jamaica in 2009 when we were 22. It was a blast. Unfortunately we haven’t been anywhere near the Caribbean since. The food looks good in the pics but I especially like the cigars or booze myself. Hope you had a fun trip!
