Making progress on a chest piece tattoo

in #tattoos5 years ago

About a month ago, I decided to begin the process of getting a chest piece tattoo.

I have always been fascinated by tattoos and love the process of getting permanent pieces of art on my body. It may not be for some, especially the difficult part: the pain. However, the opportunity to meet new people, discuss your life, your background, the world of art and artistry...everything about it is a blast.

I have already been tattooed multiple times in my life. The first was a tattoo on the back of my left tricep in memory of a friend that passed away 13 years ago. The next tattoo was a sleeve done by an artist in St. Petersburg, Florida. The third was a tattoo based off the lyrics to a Killswitch Engage song, with the lyrics stating "I see the world through different eyes". You can find a pic of that tattoo in a previous Steemit post.

This tattoo, though is definitely more challenging. When getting tattooed on your chest and sternum, you are getting in done on a lot of bone. There is the middle of your chest, there is your ribs and then there is your collarbone. Not a pleasant feeling. However, the process has been a blast and this week, we made some serious progress.

Here is a shot of where we are now with the tattoo:

Such a good time and if you are looking to get tattooed and are in the Central Florida area, make sure you stop by Angry Elephant Tattoo in Valrico, Florida. Great artists, fun staff and definitely a family atmosphere. You won't regret it!
