Green Anole Lizard (macro photography)

This evening, I stumbled upon a Green Anole lizard bathing in the sunlight. I've seen a Green Anole lizard in a spot close to where I was at this evening, but I highly doubt it is the same one. You never know, though. The likelihood is rather low, yet animals are smarter than we give them credit for, so it could be this lizard's favorite spot.

This species of lizard is mostly found found in the southeastern states of Florida, Georgia and North and South Carolina. It has been seen, though sparingly, in California and Virginia.

They usually live in the shrubbery, blending in with the lush green around them so to not be spotted by rival brown lizards and other predators. They like the southeastern U.S. because of the humidity and tropical climate.

Already a beautifully colored creature, seeing the sun bounce off it's scales brings it's beauty to another level.
