Glass 'n' Water photography

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

Yesterday afternoon, I decided to experiment with some different angle shots and perspective shots using a Glass Cup, Glass Table and a bunch of water. I decided to pour water on the table and fill the glass cup up with little water and see what kind of shots that I could get. I feel like I was able to capture some really neat looking shots. I was also able to get some pretty decent reflections not only on the table itself, but in the water too.

All shots that were taken were done using a Canon 80D camera with a 70-300mm lens.

The first shots are closer up. I had the the lens aperture rather low. I also edited one of them to black and white (b&w) in order to give the shot added depth.

The next shot is of a glass by itself with very little water on the table. Even without the water there, the reflection of the glass on the table was quite exquisite.

The last shot is of an old Starbucks coffee glass filled halfway and reflected on the table. I was trying to get a shot where the swinging bench behind it would reflect inside the glass, but nonetheless, it didn't work out. However, it still ended up making for a pretty cool shot.

Thanks for stopping by. What an awesome day it was for photography!

One love,
