Globally the use of solar energy as a source of energy in the world has been steadily given its potential as a source of renewable energy. Many people do not know about renewable energies but they should since it is the modern energy and that is advancing in giant steps. Over the years, different sources of energy have been sought, which can help supply the demands in many countries, from which comes the idea of harnessing energy through the sun as a resource, since it is an inexhaustible source of energy .

"The remaining life expectancy of the Sun is 5 billion years," allowing to produce the most abundant and sustainable source of energy, which provides more than 150,000 TW of energy to Earth; About half of this energy reaches the surface of the Earth while the other half is reflected in outer space by the atmosphere.

Solar energy originates from the nuclear fusion reactions that occur in the Sun's nucleus, where the hydrogen atoms fuse into helium. The fusion reaction creates immense heat resulting in core temperatures approaching 15 million degrees Celsius (° C). At these temperatures, photons are emitted from atoms and travel a very short distance before being absorbed by another atom that causes the neighboring atom to warm up and the subsequent emission will give another photon.

The radiation that reaches the surface of the earth and is adsorbed by it is known as direct solar radiation, which can be used for different thermal processes. The power of direct solar irradiance on a clear day can be about 1 kW / m2 (this is a lot of usable energy).

Solar energy has been used over time, mainly for heating and lighting, but also for many other purposes, such as refrigeration, detoxification, desalination and mainly electricity generation (it is the one that interests us the most) . Only a part of solar energy that reaches the surface of the earth is transformed into kinetic energy and this is the one that is used since it has higher concentration of solar energy generates higher temperature and therefore greater thermodynamic efficiency.

There are many ways to take advantage of solar energy in our homes easily and that can help reduce our electric bill especially in countries where energy is expensive.
