Amalia Rosa | Cover from Venezuelan Folklore | Original of Rafael Suárez
The Araguayoyo Quintet, a group formed in the city of Caracas, but all the members are from the Aragua State and we are also coffee lovers; that's where our artistic name comes from. The ensemble consists of five voices accompanied by a four: Jhoxiris Medina as the soprano, Fabiana Sánchez as Contralto, Guillermo Tirado as Tenor and Cuatro Acompañante, Douglas Romero as the Bajo and my person as the Baritone of the group.
The song we chose is called "Amalia Rosa". This piece of Venezuelan folklore is by the authorship of Celestino Carrasco, and it is an excellent Tocuyan beat, belonging to the set of musical arrangements by Maestro Rafael Suárez, who in life was one of the founders of the admired Quinteto Contrapunto, which to this day continues to extend its legacy within the academic and popular music of our country. Without a doubt, it is an honor for us to share with you part of this legacy of Rafael Suárez.
I hope our interpretation is of the taste of all of you who are seeing our interpretation. The support in steemit motivates us to continue making good music of our land.

El Quinteto Araguayoyo, una agrupación formada en la ciudad de Caracas, pero todos los integrantes somos provenientes del Estado Aragua y además somos amantes del café; de ahí proviene nuestro nombre artístico. El conjunto consiste en cinco voces acompañadas de un cuatro: Jhoxiris Medina como la soprano, Fabiana Sánchez como Contralto, Guillermo Tirado como Tenor y Cuatro Acompañante, Douglas Romero como el Bajo y mi persona como el Barítono de la agrupación.
La canción que elegimos se llama "Amalia Rosa". Esta pieza del folclore venezolano es de la autoría de Celestino Carrasco, y es un golpe tocuyano excelente, perteneciente al conjunto de arreglos musicales del Maestro Rafael Suárez, quien en vida fue uno de los fundadores del admirado Quinteto Contrapunto, que hasta el día de hoy sigue extendiendo su legado dentro de la música académica y popular de nuestro país. Sin duda alguna, es un honor para nosotros poder compartir con ustedes parte de este legado de Rafael Suárez.
