Looking at what's ahead

Cordial greetings once again dear friends who make life on this wonderful platform, for the mercy of God I am again privileged to share another article with you aimed at motivation and reflection. There are times when we stop to think about a past event that has marked us sentimentally, it can be a failure, the loss of a loved one, a mistake made something we regret and not overcome, then we stagnate our lives in that fragment of our history losing all that remains to go through, it is time to remove that bitter memory that although it is part of your past you live it as if it were the present and has made your life not progress.

When I think about our lives on this planet I like to see things as if they were a race, the path we must travel is the goals we will reach as time goes on, each day is an opportunity to take a step forward, you may think you can do tomorrow what you did not do today and maybe you are right, but the time we will be here is finite, Therefore, a day that you do not advance will be one step less than you will take, it is as if you have to walk a 100-meter path in 100 days with the opportunity to advance one meter a day, if you are on the 18th day and you decide not to take the step that will take you to the 18th meter because you got stuck to see your footprints on the previous day it is possible that the next day you will take the step you did not take, but you will be taking the 18th step on the 19th day and when you reach the 100th day you will only be able to walk 99 meters.

The past is a part of our path that we cannot go back to, we cannot go back in time to make amends for mistakes but we can remember the mistakes to learn what we fail to do and not repeat them in the present because the present is the only time we can act, but it is wrong to remember the past to stop and mourn, wailing and bad memories are chains that tie you to the past with heavy shackles that keep you from moving forward on the path of life, a mind busy with wailing from the past is a mind that has no room to find positive thoughts and productive ideas, so you spend your time on the same step of your life missing all those goals that you must achieve and are waiting for you.

If we make mistakes, regretting won't solve them, I'm not saying that we're stone and we don't have feelings. The Bible says that everything has its time so we should take the time to weep to weep but after the time to weep and lament is over we should move on because if we take the time to weep to weep then we are wasting time and as I said at the beginning our stay here is very short.

> Our eyes are the windows through which thoughts reach our minds, those thoughts that have marked our lives and do not allow us to move forward are images created in our brains to torment us because although our eyes do not continue to perceive them are engraved in our memories, the only way to get them out is to rewrite the information we have stored by opening the windows of our soul (eyes) to enter new thoughts, but we must focus our gaze on the goals, the rewards we get when we reach them, this way we will return to advance in a positive way, do not stop in the past and do not want to move forward in haste to the future, remember that life is given to us in fragments, so live one day at a time but do it well!!
