San Francisco Millenium Tower - SINKING, TILTING!!! Will it fall during the next EARTHQUAKE?!

A CATASTROPHE WAITING TO HAPPEN AND A NIGHTMARE FOR IT'S RESIDENTS!

The Millennium Tower (now known as the Leaning Tower of San Francisco) is a 58-story luxury condominium building located at 301 Mission Street in San Francisco.

These condos have been sold in the range of $2 Million up to about $15 Million.

Now that about 400 residents have purchased their dream pads, they've been finding out that they may now have a property that may be worthless. After all, now that the word is out that the building is sinking and tilting, who's going to buy them?

Worse yet, it has been reported that the ground underneath the building is subject to liquefaction - which means the ground can become liquid-like during an earthquake, in which case the building could sink much more - or worse yet, fall over or collapse.

AND MUCH WORSE .... the building is in an earthquake zone, and many geologists and scientists have been warning that a major earthquake for this area is LONG OVER DUE!

How could you sleep comfortably at night just thinking about what could happen? And when?

As I understand the problem - the builders built the foundation using "friction pilings" that only go down into the soil, sand and landfill about 90 feet, and were not anchored deeper, at 200 feet, onto solid bedrock. Had the pilings been sunk deeper, to rest on bedrock, this problem would likely never have arisen. And that's the sad simple truth.

As of February 16, 2017, the Millennium Tower has reportedly SUNK 16 INCHES deep, and at the top, the building TILTS 7.6 INCHES toward the Northwest.
