Technological Unicorns: Brief introduction to the Theme
Technology is advancing at a rapid pace, in the context of a changing world. At the same time, it is useful in all sectors and areas of the modern era, and in correspondence with the business sector. At the same time, it generates added value to the knowledge society, allowing the creation of a citizen profile adapted to real and daily circumstances. Now, in this area, do you know what Technological Unicorns are? ¡if you don't know, don't worry, here in this post, I'll explain it to you!
I would like to point out, before I go on writing, that this topic is not very developed in Steemit, and that's why I think it's ideal to start doing it, so that people who don't have any knowledge about the implicit are interested in looking for and getting information.
There are many definitions of "Technological Unicorns". Here I am going to quote some basic concepts, extracted from the reading of the bibliography on the subject, as for example, according to Aileen Lee, founder of Cowboy Ventures, in 2013, refers to:
"...a technology company that reaches a value of one billion dollars at some stage of its capital raising process". (Source).
On the other hand, another blogger on the web makes a definition based on the previous one, but with brief variants:
"...a technology company that reaches a value of one billion dollars at some point in its process of raising unlisted capital". (Source).
The difference between the concepts is that in the second source they express that it is unquoted capital on the stock exchange, and in the first source they do not express it in this way.
It should be noted that, on the Internet, most of the concepts published in relation to "Technological Unicorns" do not differ from the original conception attributed to Aileen Lee, but it is understood that this is a terminology associated with new companies. (Startups).
But, in the same discursive line, it is necessary to refer to the fact that another of the terms attributable in the tacit case, in addition to "Technological Unicorns", is "Technological Company'.
They also say, in the existing bibliography on the subject, that "Technological Unicorns" arise with social networks; in fact, at present, Facebook, Twitter, Uber, among other electronic platforms of equal use and importance for communication digital, are considered under this concept. It is thought that the largest "Technological Unicorn" or "Technological Company" at present is "Uber", which is well known to offer public transport services (taxis), with great success.
Among the outstanding characteristics of the "Technological Unicorns", the following stand out:
.- Its creators and owners are young people (under 34 years of age).

For me, Steemit is also a "Technological Unicorn", because in a short time, with little human capital (young people), it has capitalized positively, generating added value to the interface of the chain of blocks, and therefore, steempress can be consolidated in the same managerial and financial style.
Finally, I would like to point out that the name "Technological Unicorn" derives precisely from the unicorn, which, in Greek mythology, was a fabulous, incredible creature; hence the analogy with the incredible progress made by the companies that qualify for this typology.
