Me Too
Sometimes, when it’s hot out, I don’t go out in shorts because I just don’t feel like dealing with it. The whistles, the honks, the gross comments, the kissy noises, the unwanted touches, and even the grabs. This is my normal, every day experience when I am showing any amount of skin. And wearing pants isn’t always even enough to stop them.

thank youuuu <3
That sucks :(
If people grope you and are grabbing you all the time and that is your normal expierence, that is really bad and I am sorry to hear about this :(
Do you ever call the police for stuff like this?
well mostly they just whistle. when I go on the metro is when I've gotten grabbed. it's only happened twice since I've lived here in Mexico City (since January) but that's two more than it should ever happen. Also, the police aren't going to do anything here. Corruption is king. It's still a beautiful city though, and I won't let macho culture get in my way.
hi @jessandthesea that is very strange
It isn't too strange, actually. Why would you say strange? Do you live in Stockholm or something ;)
Sorry, I can't imagine what that must feel like to have it happen to you all the time. I've never done stuff like that, ever.
just the way it is. I was walking with my boyfriend the other day and I thought maybe they would do it less because I was with a guy, but nope. He was like, "pfff this is just gross." anyway, I think the more it's brought up, the more change that is likely to happen :D
