My day has ended early, I’ll soon “grab my nets” and go.
I’ll not be fishing, so my ‘nets’ are webs of imagination,
spun to catch my dreaming ebb and flow.
Oh if I could only catch every dream, how marvelous that would be!
I often awaken with only a wisp of remembrance,
Of what my mind’s eye did see.
When in the day, I find my mind to be still, I hear faint echoes,
Flittering reverberations of
Some past nights adventures, and
I wonder; was it a dream? Was it something I heard once in a
Song? Those lines are oft not so clearly drawn,
But perchance,
The inspiration will return, to rekindle my dreaming; then I too,
Will be a ‘dangerous man’, for to act out my dreaming…
As if it were my plan.
