"Desert of the Mind"

The Internet,
Like the Television before it,
Can be a good thing, a
Force for change,
For education and for enlightenment.
BUT…
The TV lead to a “desert of the mind”,
Where we were served
Up Pablum and Drivel.
Our minds atrophied, and we tended
To accept what we saw or were told because it seemed to
Fit with what we had seen or been told before.

What "Goes around comes around", in an
“Anti-intellectual” Way of looking at it.

Please don’t give up your gifts
For thinking,
For Reason and Understanding.
Don’t Get Lost in, the
“Desert of the Mind”

Immerse Yourself in thoughtful consideration of the
Facts and the evidence for the facts.

Things for yourself.
And don’t believe
Everything you read either; give it some
Consideration,
Weigh what you
See
Against what you
Think.
