March 16, 2020--Practice Blog
Day 2--still getting used to not having the beard. Plus, everything is shut down in town. "Everything" meaning schools, Community events, concerts, sports. Not bad yet, but the worst of this epidemic is yet to come. I'm hoping 1) the income doesn't disappear and 2) the food keeps moving to keep the grocery stores stocked.
The day began with a meeting in which the IT people at the school I teach at told us how to use our learning platform. Something I have been doing for five years already. So a lot of it was old news. I wish they could have done separate sessions: beginner, moderate, and advanced training. It was all beginning material. Didn't do a lot for me. Spent a lot of the day recording lectures and trying to move all my material online. I did get into practice organ near the end of the day for about 30 minutes. I then came home and cooked dinner--roast chicken and potatos.
On the organ, I worked primarily on BWV 623 and 624.
