Happy LAO New Year from Luang Prabang

This is one of the best places to celebrate the New Year, but due to the lockdown order, it was a lovely ghost town this year.
I was hoping to find some rule breakers celebrating and getting drunk.
All I saw was the beautiful big puppy named Lommy. He's scared off me because I made a realistic sounding cat cry once and he's looked at me like the devil ever since.
There won't be any food, beer, or water this year.
Everything was dead just like this house party. It was a lovely 22 degrees Celsius, that's a cool 72 for you Yanks. Usually this is the hottest time of year. That's why they have the tradition of splashing each other with water.
This is a rule I could get behind. If we only rode bicycles, we would have a lot less overweight people and a cleaner environment.
These type of bikes are illegal here because of their noise, but rarely will you get fined and if you do, it's about $20. This is why I love biycles. They never run out of gas and I've been stopped by the cops zero times.
2020 is going to be a strange year we'll never forget. I thought we'd have Star Trek or at least flying cars when I was a kid, not this.
Preserving this lovely town is a benefit to all humanity. I bet your hometown can't say that. I guess they didn't have a spell checker back in 1995.
How far away are you?
How many pullups can you do? I'm pretty sure I had the Corona virus, was really high and drunk, and knocked out 15 military pullups on my 40th birthday. I hate going to the gym or exercising for the sake of excessive, but if you can do pull-ups once a week, a lazy person like myself can maintain a lot of strength. It really hurts my hands doing it on these 2X4s, but I can do way more on a standard bar now.
This stray dog wandered into our life a few weeks ago. We named her Gigi.
Dogs are really smart and they understand you when you tell them to sit, but they think you think they don't understand and don't want to submit to your request. Thanks for "celebrating" the Lao New Year with us.
