Daily Celestial Challenge: Sunday-light
Today's message: The light that we carry inside should shine.
On the eve of the culmination of a cycle, one year I want to talk to you about the light that we have and that for some reason we do not make it visible to the rest of the world.
In a few hours it will be the end of 2017. We are not going to do a review of it, since our pains, hurts and sufferings are a constant reminder of how hard and complex it turned out to be, but that it ended, since everything ends nothing is forever and God gives us the opportunity to start another let's put on our best smile and prove that we are the light of the world.
We must reflect on ourselves and ask ourselves:
How is our way of life? Do we live as children or as slaves? Do we live as people baptized in Christ, free? Or do we live according to the mundane, corrupt logic, doing what the devil makes us believe is in our interest? " In the answer to these questions, we will not only be stripped of the reason for many of the evils experienced in this year that goes out, but the possibility of making the next a much better year for us and those around us. Questions that are, at the same time, an invitation to explore our existence from the communion of love or, rather, how we live that communion starting from the complexity that every word turns out to us, since, as Ignace Lepp warned and many others, we have reduced it to a set of physiological reactions that has some repercussion in our psychic mechanism to end up dwarfed by a simple material yawning. Love, is the novelty of the Gospel, which changes the world without making a noise, for this reason it is the only force capable of changing the hearts of man and of humanity as a whole. Let us respond to the questions that Pope Francis asks us about this new year without losing sight of the fact that, in addition, love "excuses everything. Everything he believes. Everything awaits. It supports everything. "(1Cor 13,7) We are going to give ourselves the opportunity to live this new year, which is a new opportunity, from this perspective that God offers us.
Therefore, brothers, as we wait for the end of the year or the beginning of the other, as you prefer to see it, let us think that we are about to make a new dawn and each one of us will be that new sun. Regardless of the reality that each one lives, in our hands, in our power is truly the intensity of the brightness of that sun, and to the extent that we explore incandescence, little by little, we will realize that we really do not we are that sun, but the Church and that, like the moon that does not have its own light, but receives it from the sun, without which it would be complete darkness, we, you and I, who are Church, that moon that shines, but with a light that is not yours but another, we must assume the commitment to illuminate every corner where darkness insists, since we are the light of the world and a lamp is not lit to put it under a drawer, but it is placed on the candlestick to illuminate all who are in the house. Thus the light that is in us must shine before the eyes of men, so that they may see our good works and glorify the Father who is in heaven. Jesus tells us: "You are the light of the world."
Let us be a reflection of the light of God in this coming year. Let us be instruments of peace, of dialogue, of reconciliation, but, at the same time, we cry that demands justice and that reminds the powerful that we are the image and likeness of God and that truth, center of our dignity as men, is invulnerable, not It is negotiable. Happy and prosperous 2018.
