E3 Update: Nintendo Spotlight - Will Nintendo Deliver?

All of us Nintendo fans have been waiting with baited breath to see what Nintendo would bring to the E3 floor.

It looks like we'll be getting a new Splatoon, Nintendo's interesting (and colorful) take on the team shooter genre. Nintendo seems to be going all in on the game pretty hard, encouraging competitive play by having pro players (Splatoon HAS pro players?!) play with randomly chosen attendees.

Skyrim is coming to the Switch. This isn't exactly new news, but people continue to speculate over whether there'll be any new bells and whistles included.

The sequel to one of my favorite game series: Xenoblade, is coming out just in time for the holidays. I've been playing the Xeno games since Playstation One, so I'm fairly excited about this. I don't love that they seem to have gone a much more traditional RPG route with it's ultra-trite voice acting and writing, but I'm reserving judgment until I've put my hands on it.

For me the most exciting news was the announcement was Metroid 4. I'm a huge fan of the Gamecube games, and I'm curious what directions they'll go in in the new game. Honestly, the games for Gamecube were so strong that they could pretty much just expand on that formula and still have a kick ass game.
Stay tuned for more E3 news and updates as they arrive!

I'm most exited about gamefreak's announcement for a upcoming Pokemon game.
Oh, good catch! The Pokken Tournament thingamajig, right? Yeah, that looked really interesting.
